FROZEN DRINK MACHINE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

This Frozen Drink Machine allows you to prepare and serve a wide variety of frozen drinks that are very popular today. However, it is extremely important to follow the operating instructions carefully to ensure proper operation and safety of the machine. The machine can only be used with mixes available from Bounce About. Use of other types of mixes may damage the machine.

The machine will generally produce mixture ready for drinks in about 1 hour, depending on the particular mix you are using, the ambient temperature, the temperature of the mix beforehand, etc.

While the actual yield will vary depending on a variety of factors, each 2 1/2 gallon bowl (filled) will make approximately:

40-45 8 oz drinks

50-60 6 oz drinks

Plug the machine into a 110-volt circuit with no other appliances on the circuit. If you must use an extension cord it must be heavy duty (12 gauge) and no more than 25 feet in length.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

Always start with cleaned and sanitized dispensers. Use only fresh "granita" or drink mix when filling the unit.

NOTE: You may only use the mix supplied with the unit from Bounce About. Use of other types of mixes may cause freezing of the product and damage to the machine.

Step 1 . Fill the bowls with product mix to the maximum level mark; each bowl holds 2.5 gallons or 10 liters. Gallon and liter marks on the bowl will help you to know the exact quantity of mix being used. DO NOT OVERFILL !!!

Step 2 . Place bowl covers on the machine and always operate with the bowl covers in place. This prevents foreign materials from contaminating the mix.

NOTE : When fitting the cover onto the bowl, be sure that it is properly and firmly in place, so that the electrical connection between the cover and bowl contacts is sealed.

Step 3 . Turn the controls switches "on". (The switches are located beneath the bowls, behind the little "doors".)
Power switch (P) to "I",

Light switch (L) to "I",

Mixer and refrigeration switch (MR) to "II". Only switch on the MR switch for the bowls being used.

NOTE : All switches are off when in the "0" position.

Step 4 . Always leave the machine on when mix is in the bowls as the refrigeration stops automatically when "granita" reaches the proper thickness or density. The mixers will continue to turn. Turn the machine off only when preparing to clean the bowls (See Cleaning below.)

Step 5 . The mix will be ready to serve when the entire bowl has turned to "slush" consistency and no more liquid is visible.

NOTE : The length of time required for the mix to be ready to serve will vary according to ambient temperature, product initial temperature, and thickness or density of the mix used. Pre-chilling the mixture will shorten the time required.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CLEANING:

Step 1 . Turn all switches to the "off" ("0") position.

Step 2 . Drain all remaining mixture from both bowls using the faucet handle and draining into a separate container. Do not run the mixture into the drip trays!

Step 3 . Pour two gallons of cool water into each bowl and drain into a separate container using the faucet handle. Do this 3 times.

Step 4 . Remove the drip trays by pulling gently towards you and rinsing them in warm water.

Step 5 . DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DISASSEMBLE THE MACHINE!

HELPFUL HINTS:

Mixing: Use only products designed to be run in "granita" freezers and available from Bounce About. Prepare the mix per the label instructions.

If you plan to make more than 2 1/2 gallons of mix for each bowl, adding the additional mix when the current mix is approximately half gone will frequently shorten the time for the mix to be ready. Pre-chilling the mix (1 1/2 to 2 hours) will help shorten the time required. Do not fill to beyond the top gallon or liter marks on the bowls.

Operation: Fill each glass by pulling on the faucet handle while holding the glass immediately below the filler tube.

DO NOT attempt to lift or move the machine by grabbing the bowls or the faucets! These are only made of plastic and will not support the weight of the machine. Only grasp the metal body of the machine for lighting or moving.

If you need to use an extension cord, it must be heavy duty (12 gauge) and no longer than 25 feet in length.
